Chimon Wachirawit has revealed more details regarding his abrupt departure from LOL Fanfest 2024.
Earlier this year, the actor was slated to participate in the concert alongside Perth Thanapon as part of the PerthChimon duo, along with other GMMTV BL couples. However, he unexpectedly pulled out not only from this event but also from subsequent engagements like fan meetings.
Initially, GMMTV and Chimon’s family chose not to disclose details to protect his privacy. However, Chimon has now chosen to open up about his situation.
In his statement, Chimon informed fans that his withdrawal was due to mental health issues rather than physical ailments. He disclosed that he has been undergoing treatment and is on a path to recovery, though he is not yet prepared to resume work. Consequently, after discussions with the team of the series ‘Perfect10 Liners,’ it was decided that he would step away from the project. Nevertheless, Chimon expressed optimism about returning to his career once he has fully recovered.
Support for Chimon has poured in from colleagues like Nanon Korapat, his longtime friend and co-star from ‘The Gifted,’ as well as Perth and others from the BL community.
